Millionaires in the U.S.

Millionaires are not as common as you think. Only 9.7% of individuals actually have over 1 million dollars. If you were to look on financial websites, subreddits, or instagram this would not feel true at all. People are going on vacation multiple times a year and retiring as young as 35 years old. Some perspective is worth it though, as this is not a common thing. Millionaires are not that common and we should stop thinking everyone has tons of wealth. Comparison is the thief of joy and we are all running our own race. The below pie chart shows just how small that chunk is compared to everyone. The number of households is a greater, but still 18% of the population is not very much. That still leaves 82% of the population have a net worth less than 1 million dollars.
