Average amount of Alcoholic Drinks by Country

Ever wonder what the average amount of alcoholic drinks a man or woman has a year. Well its different depending on the country you are in. Some countries are have more of a drinking culture and hard partying culture than others. In some countries drinking is part of after work culture and going to the pub is a common practice.

Below you can see a number of countries and their averages across the board for men and women. The chart shows the annual consumption of pure alcohol in liters for men and women in different countries. Russia is the number one country followed closely by South Korea and then France.
Japan is the lowest country with only 8.1 liters for men and 2.9 for women. Followed closely by China and Sweden.

In every country men on average have more quite a bit more alcoholic drinks than women with 2 times more alcoholic drinks than women depending on the country.
